Explore the history of- VICTORIA MEMORIAL Victoria Memorial is one of the most historic museums situated in Kolkata known around the world, which is built with the same white marble as Taj Mahal is named as white Maikhrana between 1906-1921. This is dedicated to the memory of Queen Victoria (1819-190) which now has turned out to be famous tourist destination.
The memorial is located on the Maidan grounds by the bank of the Hooghly River, near Jawaharlal Nehru Road (popularly known as Chowringhee Road).
This museum has got a huge collection size of nearly 30,000 antics.
